Use mine often and recycle the old ones, I do think they are unwieldy nowadays. Hate the way the delivery people don't always follow guidelines and leave them out in full view of passersby, so if you are away, it advertises the fact.

Hi Lynda I think they are all booked now for this season, they sold out very quickly, I was lucky to get a ticket for the Christmas one Dee x

I seldom use ours, but did today to check the library in a nearby town. Everyone has a BT book delivered, it used to be just BT customers.... If you have 2 lines, they'll give you 2 books if you wish. I have helped to deliver them and it's a lot easier and maybe cost effective when they can be left at each house rather than having to check whether or not a particular household is on the delivery list. That said, I hate waste. Many of the entries in our Yellow Pages are way out of our area and I tend to use the advertisers in the front of the BT book so wouldn't miss my Yellow Pages copy. Gwyn

Definitely Dee, especially seeing they're such huge things! They could do it quite easily by giving you a tick box on your phone bill. We're with BT and we recently opted out of the paper bills and just have online ones. For everyone who did that, BT were buying a tree somewhere to replenish forests. Mandy :)

Well it looks like I am not the only one who doesn't use mine I tend to go online, and Mandy I agree, perhaps we should be able to opt out of having them? Dee xx

We don't have any in our new house as the previous owner must have taken them with her (I left ours behind at the old house!). But I probably wouldn't use them anyway, we have those little local directories which are very useful and if I need anything further afield I look online. It would be much less wasteful if they only gave them to people who actually wanted them. Mandy:)

I think my parents get 3 every year, used once in a blue moon but as we seem to get a new yellow pages around september, the directries go on the fire - they take ages to burn and give us heat for at least a day (ashes get dug into the garden)

Telephone directory that is Each year we get two or three different telephone directories delivered, and I can’t remember the last time we used them A mountain of paper for recycling, what a waste.
