Jess did food tech today, stir fry. She's brought it home and I'm expected to eat it, she says it's ok to reheat but I'm not too sure. Is it ok or should I book my place in hospital??? |

I must admit that I'm a bit thingy about food hygiene and I wouldn't touch something that's been mouldering away at school all day lol! I did manage to get out of eating son's spaghetti bolognese though. I took pity on him (it was a few years ago before he did his options) and measured out all his ingredients before he went. However, I didn't have a container small enough for a teaspoon of garlic so I put a whole jar in. Yep, he honestly did tip a whole jar of garlic into the sauce. It stank out the school cookery area, the school bus and my dustbin:))) Mandy :) |

Julie check her fingers first for plasters. When I was at catering college I made a pizza except I gouged a bit of my thumb out cutting the onion and bled all over the base. Figured it had tomatoes on anyway so mum and dad wouldnt notice. Went home bandaged up and still have the scar |

Mandy I think (should that be hope lol) that they keep them in the fridge until home time, that's what she said anyway. btw did you enjoy your choccies at christmas??? Dawn Ouch!!!!! I'm safe there are no plasters on her fingers. |

Oh Julie those choccies were lovely, but the second box was better knowing that they were a freebie lol! I tried not to be piggy and spread out the eating of them until at least New Year:))) If your daughter is absolutely positively sure it's been in the fridge, and she didn't stop off for half an hour on the way home lol, then yes, bung it in the microwave but give it a good long time to make sure:))) Mandy :) |

Reminded me Julie......story: Son came home with something or other he cooked years ago....he was very interested when we ate it.....and was pleased we enjoyed it..... We were all out somewhere a few years ago, he is an adult now, and we were talking about the domestic science lessons at school.....it turned out that he had dropped whatever he had cooked on the underpass, next to the house.....scooped it up, and we had eaten it......lovely.... Same son made lovely profiteroles.....I copied the recipe and made them often after that..... |
