My 7 year old (8 next week) came out of school today and his first words were 'That Mrs **** is such a (input swear word for female dog)'. I have never heard him say anything like that before and to top it off it was in his loudiest voice in front of all the other mums. Off to find a bar of soap. E x

Kids repeat things without knowing what they mean. My daughter when she was 6 came home from school in tears one day. When I asked her what was wrong, she said, all the big girls were pushing me in the toilets and one called me a name. I asked her what name she called her (I wish I hadn't) She said, between sobs, ' well, she called me a f***off!' I tried not to laugh, honest I did!

My son's godparents, a nice church-going family, had a similar problem with their eldest (now a Dad himself!). He was 5 and had just started school when he actually came out with the 'F' word. His Mum was horrified but tried to stay calm and explained that it wasn't a very nice word and he wasn't to say it. He said it again, so she got a little more cross with him. He then went off and tried to teach it to his 3-year-old brother, so his Mum really told him off. She then said that she was going straight in to school on Monday morning to see his teacher. He replied, with a rather smug look on his face: But I didn't learn it at school Mum, I learnt it at SUNDAY SCHOOL!!! Mandy :))
