It has just come to my notice that Downing Street are holding an online petition / poll for the early release of the 1911 census. Less than 5000 have voted. Time is running out early March. Please inform your contacts as this is not common knowledge. web site is http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/CensusInfoFreed/?ref=censusinfofreed This is genuine and very important. Copy the above link into your browser and just read the text and sign the petition I have signed it, thought you might like to take a look and perhaps pass it on to everyone you know. Help keep this link on the from page. bump this please!! |

Sorry - but as I have just said elsewhere - it's only another 4 years to wait, so what's the big deal - be patient !! |

Sorry but I can't sign for that, its just not possible for it to be released early. Not least because of the amount of time it will take to transcribe the records in time. Also, there was 100 year rule for a reason, I believe that should be respected. Soem of the names on those census' will still be alive. |
