Apparently they rarely make a noise but when they do, it's a snort or a moo! And a giraffe's tongue is 22 inches long! |

Looks like their mute Giraffes’ milk is seven times richer in protein than cow’s milk. Their hearts weigh about 25 lb. (11.4 kgs.) and their blood pressure is two or three times that of man, which is quite necessary considering how high the blood must be pumped. There is a unique valve in a giraffe's neck to stop the blood rushing to its head when it bends down. ****Giraffes make no noise and show affection by pressing their necks together. The giraffe gives birth standing up, which means that the first experience of each baby giraffe is a fall to earth from a height of about 6 feet (1.83 metres). The neck of the giraffe has seven vertebrae, the same number as in the human neck. http://www.learnenglish.org.uk/magazine/people.asp?person=38 |

In the paper today, there's a little column called 'Out of the Mouths', supposed to be true stories of what children have said. This lady was going through animal noises with her little 2-year-old girl as follows: What noise does a cow make? Moo What noise does a dog make? Woof What noise does a mouse make? Click! Mandy :)) |

Methinks, it depends upon from which end the sound is emanating Bob |
