How awful, I havedecided not to go out today, even tho I would be driving just 5 miles, rather not risk it. Hope the weather has improved a bit by tomorrow, as neighbour's funeral with church service, then drive to crematorium then drive back to pub, so if it is really bad it might stop some people attending, which would be sad, Margaret and the boys need all the support they can get and Peter was a very popular man. Hope that Mum and little one are not badly hurt. Liz |

How awful ! Im sitting here quite frightened, after being almost blown over returning from school a short while ado, our old front door seemed to be blowing in at the top slightly...ive now drawn a bolt accross at the top of the door to stop this Elaine x (calming down with a coffee). |

Hi Hayley, its horrible to witness something like that isn't it. Are you ok? Liz, it's pretty evil here aint it? I've got to get to the post office this afternoon, not looking forward to it one bit. I've never seen the trees at the back rocking like they are! |

That's awful. Poor child. Hope it's not too badly injured. For those of you worried about doors and windows blowing in - open your windows - just a little and it will equalise the pressure. |

poor woman, be she was shaken and poor little baby, hope she's alright. I just took the dog out and therre's fences and walls blown down, trees everywhere, alas my garden loooks like a building site where the wall has fell down along with the bricks and roofing felt off the shed |

Oh Hayley how awful, hope the little one is ok. Unpleasant shock for you too, seeing something like that. I'm very relieved at not having to do the school run (son's in 6th form, no lessons today), and I can hear sirens going all the time. Mandy |

Oh awful !!! Thank goodness there wasn't worse injuries !!! Poor mother must have been terrified !!! As I was strapping my daughter into her car seat, about twenty roof tiles from a building flew off and smashed into the car behind us. REALLY scary as usually I park further up the road and would ordinarily be walking past there at that time. Someone was looking after us today that's for sure xx |
