Every generation Blames the one before And all of their frustrations Come beating on your door I know that Im a prisoner To all my father held so dear I know that Im a hostage To all his hopes and fears I just wish I could have told him in the living years Crumpled bits of paper Filled with imperfect thought Stilted conversations Im afraid thats all weve got You say you just dont see it He says its perfect sense You just cant get agreement In this present tense We all talk a different language Talking in defence Say it loud, say it clear You can listen as well as you hear Its too late when we die To admit we dont see eye to eye So we open up a quarrel Between the present and the past We only sacrifice the future Its the bitterness that lasts So dont yield to the fortunes You sometimes see as fate It may have a new perspective On a different day And if you dont give up, and dont give in You may just be o.k. Say it loud, say it clear You can listen as well as you hear Its too late when we die To admit we dont see eye to eye I wasnt there that morning When my father passed away I didnt get to tell him All the things I had to say I think I caught his spirit Later that same year Im sure I heard his echo In my babys new born tears I just wish I could have told him in the living years Say it loud, say it clear You can listen as well as you hear Its too late when we die To admit we dont see eye to eye

If I could If I could give you diamonds For each tear you gave to me. If I could give you sapphires For each truth you helped me see. If I could give you rubies For each heartache that you’ve known If I could give you pearl’s For each wisdom that you’ve shown Then you’ll have a treasure mother That would mount up to the skies That would almost mach the sparkle We all saw within your eyes But I have no pearls or diamonds As I am sure you’re well aware So I’ll give you gifts more precious My devotion, love and care.

FAREWELL The sand of time are running low And soon my children I must go My heart with love for you is filled But soon its beating must be stilled I leave no treasures of any kind Only my love I leave behind Take it and share it between sister and brother And always be kind to one another Weep not beside the grave for me Don't bring me flowers I cannot see Only ashes lie neath the cold sod Just pray that my soul has gone with God Some of you perhaps may weep When my eyes are closed in eternal sleep But try to remember it won't be forever For God can bring our spirits together I pray that I go to a world far above To be with the others that I love And to wait awhile on that Heavenly plain Until the day we shall meet again. i found this on another site....and thought it was so lovelyxx

f tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane, We would walk all the way to Heaven, to bring you home again No farewell words were spoken, no time to say good-bye You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why Our hearts ache in sadness, and secret tears will flow What is meant to lose you, no one will ever knowxxxxxxxxxx

Dad Many poems have been written to explain, How a mother's love can soothe the pain. But little has been said about a Father's concern, So.. now... I think it must be his turn. A Father's love for his off-spring, Is just like that of a solid gold ring. No matter what, it is unending, Never breaking; though.. sometimes bending. His love is as strong as a mother's; although... Due to his personality, it sometimes doesn't show. There is no question of how strong.. Or of its lasting...however long. So no matter if his child is good or bad, There is no Love stronger, than that of a Dad.

Walk a little slower, Daddy,' Said a child so small. 'I'm following in your footsteps And I do not want to fall.' 'Sometimes your steps are very fast, Sometimes they're hard to see. So walk a little slower, Daddy, For you are leading me.' 'Someday when I am all grown up, You're what I want to be. Then I will have a little child Who'll want to follow me.' 'And I would want to lead just so And know that I was true. So walk a little slower, Daddy, For I must follow you.'

Grandparents bestow upon their grandchildren The strength and wisdom that time And experience have given them. Grandchildren bless their Grandparents With a youthful vitality and innocence That help them stay young at heart forever. Together they create a chain of love Linking the past with the future. The chain may lengthen, But it will never part... ~Author Unknown~

To my dearest family, some things i'd like to say But first of all,to let you know, that i arrived okay. I'm writing this from heaven, here i dwell with God above. Here there's no tears of sadness, just pure, eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because i'm out of sight. Remember that i'm with you every morning, noon and night. That day i had to leave you, when my life on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me and said 'I welcome you. It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone. As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on. I needed you here badly, you're part of my plan, There's so much that we have to do to help our mortal man'. God gave me a list of things that he wished for me to do, And foremost on the list was to watch and care for You. And when you retire to your bed,the days chores put to flight, God and I are close to you..in the middle of the night. When you think of my life on earth and all those loving years, because you're only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry,it does relieve the pain, Remember there wouldn't be flowers, unless there was some rain. I wish that i could tell you,all that God has planned, But if I were there to tell you,you wouldn't understand. But one thing is for certain, tho' my life on earth is no more, I'm closer to you now, than i ever was before. There are many roads ahead of you, many hills to climb, But together we can do it,taking one day at a time. It was always my philosophy and i'd like it for you too, That as you give unto the world,so the world will give to you. If you can help somebody who's in sorrow or in pain, Then you can say to God at night 'My day was not in vain'. And now I am contented that my life was so worthwhile, knowing as i passed along the way,I made somebody smile. So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low, Just lend a hand to pick them up,as on your way you go. When you are walking down the road and I am on your mind, I'm walking in your footsteps, only half a step behind. And when it's your time to go on..from that body to be free, Remember you're not going..you're coming here to me. Hope u see this jenniferxxxnitexxxxxxxx
