we was going to go in there just before christmas but the little one we had was scared of the noises. But when you first go in you go up a flight of stairs. I can only imagine that as its called York Dungeons that you do actually end up down below ground level which would be where it was flooded and not through the front door, and as you say the entrance is quite high |

i cant believe that the river has got so far up. we went to york last wednesday and it was up to the the first window of the pub on the corner of the road (at the bottom) the dungeon is at the TOP of the road on a hill and so is not actually NEAR the river so it has risen a fair few feet since last week. the dungeon is on the corner of a main street in york, surely it wont go any further or they will have to use boats and not cars on the road! tina x |

York dungeons was flooded at the week end and now they have a limb and skull missing so they believe they may be floating down the River Ouse so if a member of the public see them they will find it quite alarming... |
