Hope your friend gets his home back as soon as possible, glad he was not hurt but must be so upsetting to have this happen. Liz |

Thanks I'll give him your good wishes. He emailed me some photos. It's scary. One of the branches came through the wall and into the bedroom. Linda |

Linda it's a good job that he has insurance. We were covered when our roof blew off but not when we were struck by lightening as that was classed as an 'act of God'. I still don't understand the difference. Hope all the work is done soon and he can get back into his home. It is a shock when it happens. Beryl x |

So glad that no one was hurt. The weather doesn't like me as my roof blew off a couple of years back and all my back bedroom windows blew in, that was before double glazing! A couple of months back my house was struck by lightening and all of my electrical equipment was blasted. It cost a fortune to replace everything. Beryl x |

Luckily he was out at work. An enormous tree fell right on his house and car. Car is a write off. The house is listed so that causes further problems. The insurance chap reckons it will at least 6 months before he can move back in....He lives in Chislehurst in Kent |
