And I know all of you too! LOL I used to come on here two or three times a day - or once and STAY all day! LOL I don't now. Nobody misses me, I'm not exactly one of the 'names' anyone refers to but I am sad that the boards have become what they are.. I don't agree that it's a natural progression, I've been here a while and it is only recently that the soul, the community spirit has gone. It's commendable that there are those that stay in the hope that things will improve and at least get some way back to how it was. Perhaps I gave up hope too soon but when you seem to be fighting a losing battle against what I see as the lunatic fringe, there comes a time when there's no fight left. I renewed in June, thinking that there could still be something of that 'great place to be' to survive but there's not a great deal to hold your attention or get interested in now, If I'd wanted a chat room, I would have gone to a chat room. To all of those who DO know me, I wish you well, whatever you decide to do as far as your membership is concerned. I'll be around occasionally until my membership runs out, so I'll wave every now and again. Mags xxx

It's not just the odd thread that upsets people Puss, it's all the backbiting & nastiness, sadly. It's been horrible for some. I respect anyone who wishes to leave, they have their own reasons, but me, I have thought about it, but I am not going. Good luck & best wishes to everyone Heather x

Some of us are determined to stick around, but I do know what you mean. We used to have a right laugh on here. Hi Trish - l know your name also and have had a few posting to and from you over the past 3-4years. l know what everyone is saying its not the same, but l was beginning to think there was some light at the end of the tunnel when Colin started posting again and then the Poets Pot Part 2:o). Jennifer - l don't know you but l have posted my good wishes to you recently, you are such a lovely brave lady and you 've started to move on, even if it only seems a titchy bit, its also a marathon step for you - Youre so right so many peeps on here have helped so many!!:o) but l'm sure more lovely helpful people will join us - AND there's always the chance and oppertunity for those that leave to pop back in, they might feel inclined to join in again:o)) you never know:o)) jude sarf wales :o) xx

I don't suppose many of you remember me, but I was here in the early days when this site was Genes Connected. I don't post much these days but do look in now and then to see what 'the old ones' are doing. My subs are up in August and I doubt very much that I will renew because as Em said - the soul has gone out of these boards. There are those people still here, who pretend to be all sweetness and light, on whose threads I don't wish to post. A lot of threads are, to me, a waste of energy clicking on. Obviously this is a personal thing and to those of you who are staying and all the newcomers may I wish you luck in whatever you are seeking from this site.

Yes Catherine - and I know you too :-))))))) If the boards here were full of people like you then I would be staying :-))

I feel that Its a natural progression, Jennifer, there are continuously new people joining and taking part in the threads,and others who feel that they have ''Done their bit'' so to speak, and are moving on to something else, that is new to themselves, and possibly a more demanding and constructive use of their time. Over the last 4 years I have seen SO many names disappear, and coupled with name changes I have found it difficult at times to keep track of who is actually who...Its a shame to see people go that helped to keep the board going. But I wish them godspeed, and hope that they find what they are looking for......... Bob

don't think it matters Jennifer as old names leave new one's appear-that's life. My membership is due up March-think after the meet that's it for me. can't seem to find any enthusiasm for it anymore. Not keen on the other-so I will drift off into obscurity-the way I came in. catherine xx

Is is so sad, that so many people on here, are waving us goodbye. The people leaving are the heart and soul of these boards, the good folk, who cheer us when down, and laugh along side us when high. But for these peeps, perhaps our boards would not have been so homely-now, one by one, they are leaving, and why, because of a selected few users, who unfortunately are not as sweet and considerate to others. I do wish you all good luck in the future, and hope one day, soon, you will miss us all that much that you will return with the love and compassion you have displayed on here. Do you think before long, all the good folks will have flown the nest and this board may turn into a bomb site??
