Roxanne....Good luck!! Found the easiest way to deal with some of the place names is to say them in a Welsh accent and then see the census taker has written it as it sounds...lol! |

The major problems I've found have been when the census taker is English and the householders Welsh speakers. I've encountered some interesting [honetic spelling of Welsh placenames. Gwynne |

Roxanne I can assure you it is much easier researching on a pc, when we went to Wales last year to further research, you should have seen the looks I got when asking for directions!! lol Good luck Kim |

hi i cant get back beyond my dads parents either as there is so many with the same name,david thomas etc mine are glamorgan mountain ash ,were going there for a holiday this year lol karen |
