It must be very worrying for you and especially your daughter, Im sure that the doctors are acting in mum and babys best interest,,but it doesnt stop you getting anxious, Just be there for her Pat, and listen to her fears and worries, Mums are good at that, Dont forget you have all you friends on here,,we're here for you anytime, Sending you a hug,, |

Many years ago I knew of someone in similar circumstances. I'm not sure why the baby was not growing but she did very well after she was born and could be fed the nutrients that she needed. She grew to be a healthy little girl. I'm sure that with modern technology and improved care your little one will have everyone concerned about his/her best interests and the health of your daughter, too. Gwyn |

Hi Patricia It is easy to say don't worry but I know how you feel. 16 yrs ago in Aberdeen Scotland my sister was going through the same thing. She was induced at 26wks she had a baby boy whose weight when he arrived was just under 2lbs, he weighed less that a bag of sugar and you could actually hold him in the palm of your hand and have room to see your fingers. He is now 16, ok he is small for his age and struggled at first but he made it and we are all very proud of him. He has caught up and is looking forward to going to uni. That was 16yrs ago and medically everything has improved so please have faith. We will all pray for her and the safe delivery of the little one and I am sure soon enough you will be beaming from ear to ear. Stay positive and God Bless. |

This must be very hard for all of you as a family, the hospital would not do this unless it was in the little ones best interest. They will do the best for her. Thinking of you and your family in this worring time. Please let us know how they are. Take care Jackiexx |

This is worring i know, but my daughter inlaw didn't carry 3 of my grandchildren over 28weeks , all 3 were small ,the largest of the 3 being 3lb. they are now 18yrs 15, and 9. and fit healthy children. so try not to worry too much. I hope all goes well. Shirley Ann. |
