Lol, Essex Baz. Nice to see another person thinking alike. I did that once and went out for the whole day from early morning till evening. Never got another call from nuisance caller again. Liesele

They are just a pain in the butt. We had a scam letter last week saying we had won money my Hubby reported it to local paper and they ran an article on it some people willalways be taken in unfortunatley.. June ..

Unfortunately that is a downside, but at least it stops the UK calls, there will still be much less.

I just ask them to hang on a minute, and then go for a shower or something. They're paying for the call after all, and they can't use their phone again until I hang up lol

If you register with the TPS it will stop some of the cold calling, but the trouble is most of them are coming from abroad now to get around our 'cold calling laws'. I've been plagued for months with them and according to BT there is not a thing they can do about it because they are not in this country! Mary

You can register online as well, I did. I registered my Mums number at the same time.

There was a thread about this sometime last year June, and it gave the number of the TP....I phoned them and to date have not been pestered any more....

June, why not register your number with the Telephone Preference Service, that will stop cold calls, which is what this was. Just google it, its free.
