As i said on another thread i think its a Bargin not even 50p a week, but maybe they have increased the Fee to stop Multi accounts like lots of members have requested, but who knows if they have'nt explained the reasons for the increase, suppose its a no win Situ as they say Lilx

Of course its to make money, if it were £52 a year i would still think it was a bargin a £1 a week good value i'd say Lilxx

I very rarely add to threads but felt the need here. For goodness sake this is only just over £1 a month. Yes, we have to put in our ancestors, yes we have to check the hot matches, but people have helped me with my tree problems and I have had some matches on my tree that have proved useful for not only me, but the person that I contacted or who contacted me. I have also made some good friends that I speak to regularly and have had a great time at the meets. I think thats well worth £1 per month. Karrie

I still think, when spread over the year the cost is not too bad and still good value. However I think if they are going to charge a sum, then so be it. but let everyone know the price on the homepage....and let it be the same for all. If there is to be a different price band for some then make that clear as well. I also think the huge price hike is disgusting. still good value yes, but I cant see the results on here what warrents such a steep climb.in so short a timeframe. Still will renew myself though, Ive no intention of leaving Elaine x

Maybe GR have a vision for the next finacial year on how they can improve things and they need to increase the Fee to accomadate such, but who's knows if there not telling us? Still great value though Lilx

At what point do you good people think it will not be good value for money and then cease................this may be the point that GR stops their price hike

I still think its a bargain. What I do object to is the sneaky way they bring in price increases (at least twice in the last year ?) without announcing it, and the seemingly haphazard way that some pay less and some pay more. Its a bit of a shambles really. But I repeat - even at £17.50 its a bargain.

It's not the actual cost ( tho I must admit I doubt I'd pay that much) It's the simple fact no-one know how much they actually are charging. And by no one I include Genes, cos it appears even they don't know what the correct price is LOL Also I made my true friends way back, and I keep in touch with them I don't need genes for that. Like David I'd miss the laughter of some people. And lets face it all genes do is offer webspace, who actually does the hard work??????

Hopefully, With the price hike they will be adding certain new features.....such as ip? logging , so when people start trouble on a regular basis, they can check if they are using multiple accounts to post on the board as different people to cause trouble Elaine x.
