Do you find as you get *older*turing out to be just like your parents? In the ways of your thinking and views,from the world issues to politics,moral aspects,youth, or more everyday issues ,,,,,,, Where as when younger would have disagreed with them or had more liberal views. I do! kay.

Its true Kay.....people say how much I look like my Mum, and I hope I am like her.......she is a hard act to follow.....

Some time ago, I tried on a coat, then looked in the mirror. I looked so much like my Mum, that I put it back! Even though, she always looked nice, for some reason, I didn't want to be so like her. Anne

I find I am having thought like my dad,,,,,,,,I used to think he was old fuddy duddy,,,,,,,,as his grip was the 'YOUTH OF TODAY' God! I seem more to echo his words,,,,,,, Kay.

Kay When I am told I look like my mom I think how to I follow her - she is kind and loving and full of wisdom - I sometimes lack in all 3. Bless her she is 83 years old, walks with 2 sticks and is almost blind - but her memory is fantastic - wish mine was.... Mary in Spain xx

Mary. Same here but very agile,full memory,load of energy.....cooks ,cleans,and wont accept any help at all from anyone,,,,,,,,,,,,,She even hangs out the bedroom windows to clean them,,,, But her so modern out look has me in stitches,,,,,even down to her dress,,,,,,,,, kay,

I am the image of my mum and people say my voice sounds like hers too, she has been gone for 11 years now. I am the same shape (apple) and she ended up with diabetes and angina, and then had three heart attacks so I am concerned and should really try to lose some weight. Oh and I also have the arthritic knees as she did. I think I am more modern in the way I dress and the way I think. My mum was one of those people who was always old, bless her. Maybe it came from the fact that her mum died when my mum was just 16 and the baby of the family, perhaps she took all the worries of the world on her shoulders quickly. Don't have her talents for baking tho, her mincepies and sausage rolls were legendary! Liz

Maybe worth getting a health check just to make sure as many illensses can be Genes related,,,,,,Doc should be able to carry out simple blood once you explain your family history,,,,,,,,,, My parents to me when younger seem to be always in conflict about life,of course you rebel dont you?)but now find those same outlooks creeping up on me,,,,,to feel like Vicor M........ Lets face it whos cooking is best==Mums of course......! kay,

I am my mothers clone!lol we look alike,think alike and we even sound alike:-)) Its weird,but I cant think of anyone I would rather be like.

Thanks Kay, have regular checks re diabetes etc. and always aware. My mum had such a sweet tooth and brought us up with lots of sugar and sweet things, was her way of showing she cared, but wish she had been more into fruit and healthy eating, altho I do try, just eat the sweet things too.
