If I died.

It's likely I shall, sooner rather than later, as I have a progressive heart condition. I'm not that afraid of death, just the process of going there! And if I become a small pot of rose fertiliser, who would miss me? I know my family would, obvious. A few friends who will miss a good argument. In the big world of the web? I think not. Shan't make a fuss though, perhaps I'll go for another 10 years!

That's a bit heavy Andy? What are you suggesting, that none of us give a gnats wisker about anyone else on here? Think again, we all care really. One of our members died at her keyboard earlier this year. Good wishes and support for her daughter and donations flowed in. One member has her hubby in Iraq at the moment and has been going through a really tough time all on her own. Members here had a whipround and paid for a weekend for her and her family to Alton Towers. Take a look at the threads on here tonight, where several members are going through a tough time with illness, bereavement or have been victims of crime only today, and see the love and support for them all. So please don't suggest that nobody would notice. You're wrong.

I do hope you will live a lot longer than 10 years. The only certainty in life is that it will end. Live for today. Be happy. Beryl x

Come on Andy, cheer up..I know its difficult to be positive sometimes, but you just have to tell yourself off, have a quiet word with yourself and get yourself into gear again. My OH had a stroke three years ago, he has already had two heart attacks, all due to cardio-vascular damage caused by diabetes which went undiagnosed for many years. He is now at risk of losing both his legs within 5 years, and possibly his sight too, so he does get grumpy from time to time, but he refuses to worry about dying.

I would add that I have a condition that can be fatal, and if I dwell on it sometimes I get a bit frightened, but I absolutely refuse to let it take over my life - pardon the pun in the circumstances. BTW, just going downstairs now, to watch WDYTYA or Torchwood, not sure which, so see you soon! x

Well you had better not leave us before you have replied to my PM Andy!......I do know what you mean though....I have found myself thinking of how I will be remembered to future generations........could it be something to do with looking back at ancestors and wondering what they were like? A friend of mine is an artist, no children, no blood family, and she was wondering how she will be remembered......after all, she said, I had children, so I would live on in them, but she had none....but she had her paintings, and she had written a book.....so perhaps they will survive longer than her memory.... Elaine is right, I am getting a bit heavy now........smile.....

Death is not the end Death can never be the end. Death is the road. Life is the traveller. The Soul is the Guide ... Our mind thinks of death. Our heart thinks of life Our soul thinks of Immortality. - By: Sri Chinmoy
