To those who are on AOL please if you do a Comuter check up just watch that you don't get disconnected as I have just done. AOL disconnected me when I did a computer check up and it has taken 1 1/2hrs to get help to reconnect. I spoke to Live technical help and the young lady put the sign in box up withourt a password box.Just been on the phone to them and he actually got me signed back on to AOL. I am seriously thinking of changing to a different provider as I have had nothing but trouble with aol for the last 6 months. Sue

Sue, I have been considering a change for some time now but am stuck till Feb anyway. Prob is AOL does have many things that others dont and I am bit reluctant to leave many friends there. Have to say that since I been on Bb I have had no tech problems - but it is slow when they are working on the site - and with same problems here when GR techs do something ....

I know what you mean about leaving,I have been on aol for 3yrs now and when I move back to Leeds. I will certainly be thinking of moving to another provider. Just fed up of aol as when I am in the middle of doing my research for my tree it will sudenly say *AOL not responding * then just have to re-boot the ******thing. Sue

Sue, I have the same problems too, i have until January then i will be changing, but you have to wipe your hard drive to get rid of AOL, my son is doing mine, he will save all i need on his hand held. There are lots out there to choose from, will ask him who he reccomends as he is in the business. Wendy.xxxxx

Hello there, I have found Telewest Blueyonder Broadband excellent and have had very few problems with it. We have been using them for about five years or so now and broadband for the last three years. If there are any problems their technical help is free and they are very patient and helpful. Hope your problem gets sorted. Telewest 2mb broadband is £17.99 pm and it's unlimited access which is great because there are four of us with two comps all vying for a chance for the internet. Highly recommended. Regards, Lyn x

Hi Sue.. I have exactly the same problems you have with aol..... I am forever getting disconnected and sometimes can't sign on.. we have had to re install aol about three times now.. I have thought about changing servers. but to be honest can't be bothered with hassel. I did contact them a few weeks ago to complain about thier TV add saying that subscription was £14.99 but this is for new members.. I said I've been with you for three years were's the loyalty to customers like me as I pay £17.99 there and then she said thats no problem, we'll drop yours to £14.99...I also told them I was thinking of leaving because of all the hassel , and I had email telling me how to deal with the problem if it happened again..
