I have been to Rhodes each year for the last 19 years (sad isnt it) and I am off again tomorrow. Rhodes Old Town is steeped with history and very busy. The are lots of other places on the island for a beach holiday, but what ever you do, I wouldnt go to Falaraki. Somewhere like Ixia would be good as it has something for the youngster and pleanty of places for cups of ccoffee for us oldies. Ann |

I can highly recommend Crete - I went to Rethymnon two years ago for my honeymoon and it was such a lovely and interesting place - got pretty much everything you could want. Have a look on a site called Trip Advisor (you'll have to google the correct web address) they have reviews on loads of resorts and the Hotels are all reviewed by people who have been there on holiday. Hi Jules,my favourite place is Lindos.Nice beach and white-washed houses. Also visits up to the Acropilis, and the views at night are stunning. Plenty of places to visit nearby,Pefkos is (or was) quite quiet. Can take ferry to Rhodes and Simi. Like someone said I wouldn't recommend Faliraki (unless of course you like noisy, boozy crowds.) lol Hope you enjoy your holiday wherever you choose Mau xx :O) |

any of the Greek islands are lovely, only one i wouldn't recommend is Corfu, and like already advised, avoid the 'teenager' places, Faliraki (Rhodes?), Malia (Crete?), i liked Kos best, and my parents have been to ALL Greek islands, rhodes & Crete several times, and didn't like Corfu either. Jane |

Zante is a lovely island too. We went there a couple of years ago. My brother and his partner go there nearly every year, in fact they are moving there next year!! |

We went back to Crete again this year, last year we stayed in Rethymnon, lovely place would def go back there, some fantastic restaurants. This year we stayed in Hersonissou, won't do that resort again. It's brilliant if you are into clubbing til the early hours of the morning, and no beach really, the little there is of it you are packed like sardines! It also has 2 brilliant water parks (west side of the Island was the better). Kim |

Kim is right, i was told by most people West of the Island of Crete is better. |
