Id like to add, that GR will only close a deceased persons account with Genes if requested by a family member. Normally if nothing is done by the family, the account will eventually expire as a paid one, and stay on Gr as a free account. In most cases, a family member such as Gaynor will either delete the account themselves if they wish, or as Gaynor has done, run her mums account.. If GR did close accounts, a new member would NOT be allowed to have the same membership number. Elaine x |

I have managed to get into her account via an email message in her email inbox so I have saved that to favourites. But it still needs sorting. I'm not at this Manchester meet but will be coming to another one. (Going on holiday the week after next and with working full time I need next weekend to pack).... I really need to find a case big anough for the kitchen sink! Gaynor :) |

Gaynor That is a such a shame, I am sure GR may have there reasons, because like banks etc they will close account's of holders who are not able to access them in person, im sure if you contact them they will try and do what every they can to help and support you, Good Luck, Lil |

I just tried to log in on Mum's account (as she has researched her side of the family where I have been concentrating on my paternal side so far to avoid confusion) BUT someone else's account details are there .... I don't want to lose Mum's research... although I know she has the tree on the hard drive but her correspondence via GR is obviously on her account here. Gaynor :-( |
