Saw it on the News last night ! Couldn't think WHO it was who was on here and came from High Wycombe ..thanks for putting thread up ! cleared that up for me. Shame isn't it, but there were a couple of places in Yorkshire that were highlighted because of terrorism and of course, here in Derby. Elaine ;-) |

Yes, Gloucester's moment of notoriety, and unfortunately mud sticks and that is what people remember when you mention Gloucester. Ann Glos |

maz i didnt realise you lived in walthamstowe. wycombe isnt really a large town so the places that are being investigated are all within easy reach of my area. my brother lives in micklefield road and told us 2 weeks ago that there was a lot of police activity happening. we now know why eh? susie |

Hi Susie, I've had the same over the past few days ... I live in Walthamstow! Mind you, it's probably less of a surprise to us than to you! I don't live right by the area where the arrests were, haven't been to the market/high street since, but local to me things seem to be carrying on as normal. Hope it continues so as MOST people around here got along fine with each other despite there being so many different races and religions. Maz. XX |

Yes Sally, very weird, have friends and family in Gloucester although I'm now in Wiltshire. Know people who knew the Wests and one of the victims. Thankfully the house has been demolished. |

Same thing happened when my old home town (Gloucester) was invaded and 25 Cromwell Street became notorious. Some dreadful things were said by the press at the time. |

Think of High Wycombe and you think of rural villages, it must be a shock to the residents to realise there was all this activity going on in the neighbourhood.... |
