So, here we go. The food is cooked to perfection, everybody's likes and dislikes catered for. There are six places round your exquisitely set table. One is for you. Anyone living or dead could fill the other five, so who's on your guest list? I've got to have Rod Stewart(bless) and Steve Earle (grrr), some political debate between Steve and Ian Hislop could be good...I'd be content to look and listen...but I'm struggling for another two women...Debbie Harry possibly, but who else. Who would you choose?

I am not going to choose family, but only one person because I would love to hear her story from her own mouth...... Hannah Hauxwell......her documentary about her solitary life on the Yorkshire Dales was fascinating, and I have read her book, Seasons of my life........she came across as a well-read and rather refined lady and I would really enjoy her company.....

Oh I watched that on TV all those years ago... wonderful lady and the wonder in her eyes when she was taken to the Hotel and had so much luxury at her fingertips for the first time in her life... wonderful programme...although I haven't read her book... will now look out for it. Anne :)))
