There was an article in our local newspaper about a man who has found a plaque and it bear's the name of a Mathew Parsons killed in action in 1915 aged 28 he was in the Durham light infantry. He would like ot return it to the parsons family. ------- UPDATE I phoned the man who had the plaque, and told him about this site and that I had contacted a member on this site who had the above name in her tree and today she phoned him, what a coincidence --not that she got my message, she lives in Australia and is on holiday and is here in Darlington and her Aunt told her about the article, also this man has had someone else contact him who is a relative of our GR member.
