The info originally given was in general chat and on another site. He has now removed the names I have requested. Jacky :-) |

This is another reason why you never open your tree to anyone. I just send them a report of the bit that they are connected to. No more, no less. And, certainly no living relatives. I like you though have been caught out in the past. I am far less nieve these days. One contact on my husbands side has my family on here. She has removed the living ones but that's all. All because years ago I sent her the info, my fault I know, but I know better now. Margaret |

I am not so bothered about the dead rellies but I haven't put my siblings details on here in full deliberately. All he has suggested is that I visit their web site! Jacky |

ps If you gave the info to this person via another site then there is less gr can do besides either hiding the living rellies or removing them only E x |

If this person doesnt remove the names of your living rellies then contact genes, however with regardes to the rest of your tree copied, its the risk we all take when we open up our tree for viewing. I dont think you need persmission to add dead rellies from someones tree to your own Elaine x |

Let GR deal with it............presumably you have kept copies of your messages to this person.........send the full info to GR and ask them to enforce their own rules. Reg |

I have had a reply from the person who entered the names to be told that I am a blood relative - 6th cousin of his wife but I know this is through several marriage links. He has informed me that all living people were removed before he put the tree on this site. If that is the case, why am I on it?? Also my siblings and my mum? Jacky |

Hi Jackie Send an email to the member asking to remove the details as her/her has not been given permission - give a date by which you expect this to be done, tell him/her that if it is not done by then you will inform GR and they will take further action if necessary Hope it all gets sorted Vikkix |

Ask them to remove the living names, he should not do it without your permission. Marion |

A person I had contact with some time ago on another site has entered all my tree on this site including living relatives and myself. He has not asked for permission to do so. He is also not a direct or even indirect relative but has entered people several times removed on his wife's side and that is where the weak link comes in. Cheek! Jacky :-) |
