FILTHY!!! ! Even the removal men said what a shame it was after how we had left our own house. It's amazing what you don't see when you look round. I knew it was grubby but with 3 children and a dog I imagined that was excusable. For whatever reason, I didn't look in the bathroom, if I had, we wouldn't have bought the place. I had to clean the loo with a hacksaw blade and the bath taps took two hours to release from limescale. The stench of pee when we took the floor covering up was phenominal and despite scrubbing and scrubbing, bleaching and disinfecting, the only way we could stop the smell from rising was to give the wooden floor round the loo several coats of varnish. The kitchen was that filthy, we didn't cook in there for 3 weeks while we cleaned and repainted. Our fridge was in the living room with the microwave on top! My husband cleaned the oven 3 times in all before we thought it fit to use. We couldn't believe it when, after we had been in the house a few weeks, 'the occupier' got a letter asking if we wanted to take out insurance on the cooker because the 12 months warranty had run out!! As we scrubbed the cupboards, the dirty water we were throwing away was cleaning the sink Ugghhh! The worst thing was the FLEAS!! Sheesh - the fitted carpets (also filthy and stinking) got ripped up and thrown out. There were no bannisters, the nice lined curtains in the main bedroom had been swapped for three pieces of rag that wouldn't even meet when drawn...I could go on and on and on!!! YUK doesn't cover it - and don't get me on his idea of DIY - and he was a builder too! Mags xx |

Fortunately we bought a new build so altho it had had a builders clean we had to DOOO it from top to bottom. New neighbours on one side where great and offered us copious buckets of hot water for cleaning. When we finally moved all we had to do was tell the removers which room to put the boxes. Was hard work tho but at least We & daughter slept in our own bedrooms the same night with curtains at the windows |

Very clean, like I left mine.....but the decor was definitely 70's and I was pregnant, and the colours made me heave......our bedroom was purple/lilac........living room avocado and brown, kitchen orange and brown. They had also removed their shag-pile carpet which was in with the house sale, but I was glad because they had laid it on bare concrete with no underlay....... very pleased with house, but must downsize now as its too big for just us....... |

Well at least it was fairly clean but... Every room in the house had flowery wallpaper. The woman was obsessed by flowers! Now don't get me wrong I love flowers but not on every wall in the house! |

Our house was multi coloured. Kitchen - blue walls painted pink/purple circles on it removal men described it as Mr Blobbys house. Paintwork was burgundy Dining room / Lounge- front room had purple ceiling dining room was white ceiling stripy wallpaper, front room was purple wall and some were blue. Window sill was emerald green. Hall way had poppy red coving orange walls. Bathroom - well I couldn’t go in hubby had to put a mask on to clean it small bedroom was dark blue our room was a mishmash of colours other room had a wave effect with navy, red, dark green cupboard in there was painted blue and red. Sweets stuck to tiles in lounge and hairs and fluff stuck on paintwork throughout. |
