Have had a request to view my tree (which goes back to the 1600's) from someone who only has 3 names in theirs.

It was freely admitted that they wanted to see how a tree was built, so obviously there is no other tree anywhere. I gave them a few names to start off with to help (and pointed them in the right direction to start searching for themselves) but not access to my tree.

Trish I find sending the following... Hi xxxx Thank you for your request to view my tree. Which of the specific names in my tree are you interest in? Once I have that information I can ensure you receive the information that is relevant to your enquiry. Kind regards xxxx That usually sorts out the wheat from the sheaves :)))) 99 out of 100.....No reply! Chris

Wowee Trish I got caught out by a number cruncher! He was only a possible rellie of a GGG Uncle and the little git knicked everything down to my parents. I was so upset, bloke's got 20,000 in his tree and my late parents aren't related to him at all! Never do it again and I have every sympathy with you! Cherryxx

I had a request from someone the other day ... but didn't reply as I only have one name on my tree and it isn't mine !! Several months ago, I had 5 names on, and had a request. I did what was suggested above, I asked what name they were interested in and said I would send all the relevent info I had on that name .... never heard from them again. Elaine ;-))
