Just when I was saying that the storm had by-passed us it must have done a u-turn and hovered over my house. Quite scarey. The amount of rain that came down is unbelievable. The water running down the road was higher than the kerb. So w had no path or road but just a rushing stream... Near Grimsby Lincolnshire

Still nothing in Norwich, there's even blue sky up there. It's very warm though.

Just been to let the dog out and my feet were crunching under me. Loads of the pebbles from the pebble dashing has been washed of the wall by the torrential rain. was like walking on a gravel type of beach..

Oh Ann, please send it a few miles up here to Tynemouth. We badly need rain and a storm here. As I speak, still 28C in conservatory, and I am sitting in Diningroom in Bra and Knickers. If you dont send it up this way, I shall phone you very early in the morning when you still have your Gob full of Weetabix again. Lol. Jenny xx

Too much info Jenny - too much info!! We had a terrific one yesterday - west midlands- and I discovered the peril of living at the bottom of a cul-d-sac, top end of which is up a slight incline. the water came flying over all the gutters on all the houses up the road, down their drives, down the road, over the kerb and finally invited itself into my garage. AND it didnt say excuse me! Oh, and some plonker left my car window right down- like a flippin turkish bath in there today! Hot and steamy! jess

We had horrendous rain earlier. So bad I couldn't see out of the windows! It was like someone standing there hosing the windows. But have sat in the garden for the last half hour looking at the stars and sattelite. Gloryer, whereabouts in Grimsby are you? My sister lives near the town. Jacky %3A-%29
