I am going back to work next week so will not be on GR very often, I had a hear attack 2 years ago and because I am a HGV driver they took my license off me, so I decided to retire early, having been at a loose end with not much to do I have been trying to get myself fit enough to re-apply for my license, and I did the fitness test last month and passed, my license came in the post this morning so I rang my old firm and they said I could start back on Monday, So if you see a 44 ton lorry loaded with potatoes in your area give me a wave as I will be all over the UK and away from home 5 days a week, there is no better feeling than being on the open road travelling and meeting lots of different people, I will be on GR at the weekends, and if I get home through the week, just to keep up to date with what is happening Roy |

I am in my 50's but feel like a 5 year old that has been let loose in a sweet shop with a £10 note Betty, I love your part of the UK it is a beautiful place, I am delivering to a company at Inchture just south of Dundee, but collecting a back load from Kilmany just over the Tay road bridge, don't need a tipper lorry i always have some bags so can drop you a bag off. I may have to get a laptop with a mobile connection so i can keep in touch whilst i am on my travels Babs, My family are from the North East Middlesbrough area on my mums side and i will be coming your way to do some more research later this year. Bryan, I will give you a wave if I go over the heads of the valleys when I go to Pembroke on Monday, we used to do Safeways at Neath. Roy |
