used to, lots when I was a kid, hardly a month went by when I didn't have swollen glands or tonsilitis. Ended up having tonsils out when I was 12 which seemed to sort both problems out...

Sometimes when I'm fighting a cold, but not very often. Are you feeling like you're fighting a cold or anything? You want to keep an eye on your health in case you have Glandular Fever - I had it when I was about 14 and that was the first sign really, think I had a sore throat too and generally felt a bit tired. Make sure you look after yourself. Kaye x

If your Doctor has done blood tests and you had swollen glands I would expect that one of them would have been for Glandular Fever - you don't catch it like flu, so it doesn't need to be going about. My Doctor told me it was commonly caught from someone by kissing! Hope you haven't got it - it's a long recovery. Good luck. Kaye x

You might want to go and see him then? It might just be that you're fighting a cold/sore throat, but if they're swollen and painful like that then it's a good idea to get it checked out - they'll most likely do a blood test for Glandular Fever even if it's just to eliminate it. Like you said - mention it at your appointment today and see what they suggest. Kaye x

If it is only on one side could be a blocked salivary gland. Linda
