My f-i-l is very ill and we've been told for the last month by doctors to expect his death at any time. He wants to die but cruelly he's lingering on in lots of pain. Last night he asked me to pray for him and to ask God to let him die, I don't want to ignore his request but I'm afraid I am not a religious person and am unable to do as he asks, but I know some of you are religious and would like to ask you to pray for him please.

Trish, I will certainly say a prayer for your f-in-law, but I have to ask why is he in such pain? Surely the Dr or people such as Hospice nurses are able to ease his pain, no-one should be allowed to die suffering in agony. Thinking of you and your family. love Sue

Hi Trish, I feel for you, it is so hard to watch our loved ones in pain. This is probably controversial but when my lovely man was in hospital with cancer I brought in a healer. After her first visit he felt so much more comfortable & the nurses couldn't understand why he kept turning down their offers to increase the dose of diamorphine. He was laughing & joking with friends the day before he passed & we were chatting over breakfast when he asked me to call Avril & ask her to come in. Two hours later he had left me. I'm sure there are healers who would come in to ease your father in laws passing. Vivienne xx
