I can see how it would be annoying Deanna, if anyone has it happen often...........because this was the first time here though, I was more concerned about what was going on and worried about any costs incurred. Thankyou everyone for all the help, I do appreciate it. Jen

No Jen, they will not charge you. It is the other line calling you... except that they have dialed a wrong number. It is so annoying, isn't it? Deanna X

Yes I'll do that Christine when my son gets here, from his mobile, as I haven't another phone in the house. Won't have a mobile myself. BTW Christine, You might get your package tomorrow. Jen

Glad you mentioned that Gloryer, something I didn't know either, all this new technology gives rise to so many scams these days..........everyone is on the make, trying to dip into your pocket while your not looking. If you ask me, it's far worse than having your pocket picked on the street...........especially as a lot of people are still unaware of what goes on. Jen

we had one and hubby (like a fool) dialled 1471 to see who it was and it started redialling the number that had called so we had to unplug it from the socket and leave it out a while.. Also my mum has had that phone scam where it says they tried to deliver a parcel please phone ........ and if you do it automatically charges about £15 the last time I heard.. Good job I explained that to her and she understood before she got those calls.

That probably explains it Deanna, Just as long as no~one tries to charge me for anything lol? Can't understand why its sapped the power though. I'll give it a few more minutes, then switch the main power back on. Hope that is it..........someone obviously made a mistake. Jen

It's the house phone Christine and nothing is happening at the moment, I'm just playing it safe, I don't need a huge bill for any call I havent made. The phone rang here, don't know who it was, just some weird clicking noises. Jen

Jen you are being called by a FAX machine. I've had this, and I phoned BT who sorted it out. They phoned the office concerned, and the office phoned me and apologised. It took a few days to get it straight, but it will stop. Deanna X

I just had a phone call which, when I answered, started to make funny clicking noises. I said hello several times, then put phone down............now I find, it won't allow me to get the outgoing dialling tone and the bars are flashing low, although its not been off its power charger? I don't know whats going on and I'm worried, that I might be paying for something............I don't want or need. Jen
