Postman was very late Saturday

On Saturday I was just going out to meet some people for a 40th birthday drink when the bell rang and there stood the postman 7 o'clock pm with a recorded delivery never had the postman call so late on a Saturday, has anyone else Margaret

NO lol I did have one that knocked on the door and woke me up about that time on a Saturday morning once lol

The first time I read that I thought you put 7 AM and I thought that's not very late. Then I realised you put 7 PM - that's terrible, I would go and complain about it. I've never had Post delivered that late - I suspect it got overlooked earlier on in the day? Kaye x

Hi Then the whole close got over looked that morning, I had some records delivered from Essex record office. still at least I got them Margaret x

Perhaps there was an accident or something so he got held up? I would still go and complain - they've just put their prices up and are going to change them again in August, the least they could do is get the post delivered on time. Sorry - I'm always moaning about the post as I sell on ebay and get fed-up with things taking ages to arrive at their destination (about two months once) or going missing completely! Kaye x

our post always come early on a Saturday for some reason - in the week its usually between 9am and 11am, on a Saturday, its normally 7.30-8.30am which is really annoying as the dog always barks at the postman and wakes us up !

Urgh, Julie Cat you might want to rephrase 'I did have one knock me up'! these days it tend to mean that he got you pregnant!! proble just my generation picking up on american slang but I still know what you mean.

Well our old post lady arrived at our house at 9pm one night!!! There had been a power cut in the village and it was middle of winter so pitch black no street lights or nothing and she phoned head office to say about the power cut....their answer was buy a torch and we'll refund you!!! She'd normally be finished by 5pm but she was still going at 9pm and had loads still to do....bet she never got overtime for it. RDA.x.
