March, April, May or June. After June too hot. I didn't like it but there were some good bits, like the famous water park and the iconic Burj. I'd go back for them. But I'm sure if you can tolerate heat and haven't got liitle kids moaning, or parents being there, you'll enjoy it better than I did.

My mum's been invited there for Christmas so I won't be telling her that it's expensive or she'll never go! Lorrainex

I absolutely adored it..... been twice now!! It is expensive but look at the all inclusive deals available and then you'll find it not too awful!! It does get very hot but that was what i wanted!! xx

Actually we found it cheap. £1 worth 7x more.

If you wanna go to the middle east then I would recommend JORDAN and the DEAD SEA - its absolutely divine and nicer than Dubai!! xx

I found Dubai too busy and trying to cross some of the roads was horrendous! I preferred Muscat in Oman which I thought was prettier, friendlier and cheaper! June, July and August are very very hot - possibly in the 45-50c range so not comfortable at all. I think March is the Dubai shopping month so very busy with people from all over the world going for the bargains. Whenever you go. it will be an experience and I am sure you will enjoy it. Had a friend years ago who worked for the Sultan of Oman on his aircraft. He used to write from Muscat, wish I had gone to visit him there. sounded lovely.

wow thanks everyone for your replies. me and the OH will be celebrating our 15th anniversary next year and wanted somewhere hot and lovely to go to. plenty to think about, thanks again, Karen
