Well done to those who do this challenge, I knew a student years ago who did it. Great to see how people rise to these challenges to help others. Liz |

Sorry Just realised that I hadn't updated.... Challenge successfully completed by Sunday morning. They climbed Snowdon, Scafell then Ben Nevis. Well done everyone. You have honoured the memory of those you have lost to cancer and raised funds to continue research and care. Gwyn |

Thank you for your kind thoughts. They are being sponsored for a cancer charity. (on fundraising thread) Any time now they start their ascent of Snowdon, I believe. Good luck all. Keep safe. Gwyn |

I wish them good luck :O)) I did the challenge many moons ago - the first two finished us girlies off so we didn't manage Ben Nevis unfortunately lol |

Up, up, up-lifting thoughts please..........My son and friends are hoping to complete the 3 Peaks Challenge this weekend.................................. The National Three Peaks walk involves climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales. These are Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon respectively. Different people will take different periods of time to do the 3 peaks. Those who are brave, noble, or just plain stupid, try to do all 3 within the space of 24 hours - The Three Peaks Challenge. There is no official body, or definition of the Three Peaks Challenge. It is generally accepted that to complete the challenge you must ascend and descend all three peaks, and drive (or be driven) between them, within 24 hours. |
