You switch TV on using button on front of TV ....

.... and NO light comes on, but there is a slow methodical ticking to be heard from the tv. You switch off and replace the fuse in the plug, but when you try again, you get the same outcome. Has the TV bust altogether ? My TV won't come on :-(( Elaine ;-((

No ......... :-( I'm gutted now, cos I just spent £'s having Multi Rooms installed in all the bedrooms .... just so that I could get to watch Sky at night ..... but it's the TV in MY bedroom that's not working. Wonder if son would notice if I swapped TV's over ?? he he he !! Best go over the road to the TV shop and cost up a replacement - can't NOT have TV in bedroom ... Elaine ;-)

I like to watch CSI, Law & Order, Criminal Minds, 6th Sense, Crossing Over, Sensing Murder etc etc .. but son used to hog the main TV downstairs for his Kids TV ... so I thought I could retreat to my room to watch my progs in peace ......... Oh well ... this is MY punishment for last nights carry on. Elaine ;-)

Check to see if there is a fuse in the TV.set,if so it could be that. Hal. Ps. don,t forget to make sure its unplugged before you check,or you will get a Free Frizzy Hair Do. H. :o)))>

Ohhh ! Cheers H, .... ! best go and have a look :-)) Errrm ....... where would the fuse be situated if there is one in the TV ??? lol !! I'll go and have a nosey ..... Elaine ;-) Joan, If you use the various different chanels, there are less repeats shown !! especially Living TV every night 11pm or 11.30 ... there is a different prog each night. Channel 5 seem to run old progs ! I'll come and sit with your hubby whilst I'm waiting for a replacement then shall I ??? Elaine ;-)

How old is it? Even if it only has a years guarantee the manufacturer will often repair/replace TV free of charge as they are a costly item and should last a few years. Anna x

Don't like the sound of slow methodical ticking - shouldn't you perhaps ring the bomb squad LOL:))))))))))))))))

DD. If there is one it should be inside the back case,close to the live wire input. (Clear Glass Type,Low voltage.) Failing that, S.T.Bu.Back to where you got it. with a few 'Choice Remarks' of your own choosing. Hal.

DO NOT Go into the tv even if its unplugged if you have had it on the tube still holds its power for quite a few hours Brother is a tv engineer and one of his tvs threw him accross the room accidently touched the connections to the tube that tv had been unplugged for 4 hrs Paul

OK !!! :-))) Nearly got me didn't it !!! Good job I know my limits !! Sod's law ... it's Monday. Shop don't open today. Oh well. Am just gonna tell my son he can sleep in MY room tonight and keep me company !! ... maybe he will, maybe he won't - notice that we will be watching his TV !! Elaine ;-))
