Whoever suggested buy another butt - have you tried lately? O.h. has been trying to get hold of a decent one for weeks, and everywhere is sold out, or selling rubbishy ones which are the only stock they can get hold of. Ours are now dry, anyway, so hope for some rain overnight to give us some spare water. |

Ppink I suppose 200 lites plus 20 cokes bottles would see teh garden through the summer. I'm probably being over cautious |

Anne It's cute that you signed yourself off as 'Barrel' but it doesn't make up for you calling me a dustbin |

Get a bigger butt! x We now have 1000 litre capacity and two 220 litre jobbies. One 220 holds water from condenser tumble dryer and is used via pump to wash the car with a hosepipe, other 220 takes all our bath water and irrigates the garden via drip feed pipes and the 1000 litre takes the rain?! water from the roof and stores it for??.............still trying to find a use x |

Mandy as lovely as the nieces and nephew are I REFUSE to drink the water from their paddling pool on a weekly basis. especially as the youngest insists on having his jam sandwiches whilst still in it |

as ever - I remain totally unaware of the ups and downs - but stirling work everyone. Now if you could all put your quick, agile, un-sunstroked minds to my latest dilemma ........ what do I do once my water butt's full up but I still have water I need to store?? I'm getting fed up with old diet coke bottles being filledup and littering the garden..... |
