I've been a member for over 3 years, too, Jeanette. I noticed it started going down hill about a year ago - when they started the Dating and Jobs Boards. I reckon they're spreading themselves too thin. Anyone ever had this response to a complaint (I shall paraphrase): 'I'm going on holiday and will reply when I get back' (then, of course, they don't get back). This happened to me TWICE in the past year! Coincidence??! I let my Friends Reunited membership lapse in protest - but this site's too valuable to ditch UNFORTUNATELY!!!! If anyone's successfully uploaded a Gedcom recently - do tell! |

Let's put it this way.........don't hold your breath! alot of us have been without any contacts for about a fortnight now and nothing has been done. People are always complaining that the Gedcom facility isn't working. Gr gardly ever get back to people these days. It never used to be like this....I've been a member for over 3 years. This site is going to the dogs! Just my own personal opinion of course! LOL Jeanette x |

Sometimes I think so...but mostly it's a great site that can be a little frustrating at times. I only wish that they would communicate when the site is ready for the uploads rather than have us wasting time trying |

Hi - I tried 6 times today (well, yesterday and today at this time of the night!!). I got 10 death & birth certs in the mail today (woo hoo - it's Christmas!) but after a day of find out and entering new stuff into my offline tree I now can't upload to share my updates with my other GR contacts. Boo, hiss! BTW - have now notched up my THIRD great grandparent who died in an insane asylum. Hmm - not sure about the quality of my genes :-P Night-night night-owls, Sarah |

On Wednesday morning the Technical Team said it would be fixed within 2 days. Frustratingly, it isn't! |

OK, Ta Graham. I'll wait a day or two and try again then. Cheers, Philip |

I'm having a similar problem, however GR did manage to get back and advise me that they are having problems that they expect to fix in a day or two...hope that makes you feel a bit better...Graham |

I can't get my gedcom to upload. It's almost a GIG in size, so maybe that's the problem? I tried on two days. It just seems to get stuck in the 'uploading' mode. I tried to send a message to FEEDBACK but then I got 'an unexpected error' dialog! Any ideas what the problem is? Philip, Melbourne |
