when my grandchildren come, and say they don't like peas or beans, I tell them ok, well just eat 1 for each year of your age, it gets them used to the food, and they seem to eat what I tell them without any further bother. |

Dawnie Thanks for that and no you didn't ramble lol. Someone told me once about putting food in dishes in the middle of the table to help them self. Sounds like my daughter with the bread and fruit bit. Thanks again Julie |

Hi Dawnie, not trying to hijack your thread, I have put up a separate one, too see if the programes are as good as they seem to claim on the Tele, as you have to take some of the results, with a pinch of salt James |

Julie We have only just started this star chart last 3 weeks so far he has 3 things on it, getting up, going to bed and putting washing in laundry bin. The deal is if he gets four stars for getting up on school days he can stay up later on Fri and Sat 3 stars only one of the days. First week got 1 last week got 3 and so far this week has 3. It has sunk in what happens as he asked today if he got one tomorrow is he allowed to stay up at weekend. For Nath it is working but he needs routine can't cope with change. He is also a fussy eater and I have been to dieticians the lot, we have to go with what he wants as he doesn't like textures of food or the fact that meat has been alive. She checked what groups of food he ate and he is getting most food groups apart from protein but he wont eat beans so we are loosing that one. He lives on Bread and Marg, cereal, and fruit. If he tries something new and likes it is a bonus, is hard work as am cooking different meals but never mind. Found if we put food in dishes in middle of table and let them help themselves they eat more. You could try doing a chart with all different foods on and if she eats it put a sticker next to that food then give her a reward when she has so many by each one. Rambled a bit there didn't I |

Fantastic - you're winning! Two gold stars? Have a cuppa while you recover. Was it your cheer I heard earlier on? Love Anne |
