It seems like, I'm ok when they want something, like cheap ciggies brought back from my holidays (and then they take ages to pay), or taxi trips to the airport (hubby a cabby, though they have to fork out for those up front), but other wise can't be bothered with me, and I am friendly, mild mannered and approachable. One girl's mum died the other week, they've all gone to the funeral and I know I'm being pathetic but can't help feeling a bit upset that I didn't know about it and wasn't asked if I want to go along. L

Hi Bec If I could be anything I wanted and qualifications no object - I'd be a travel agent, or archaeologist (yes, I know, bit diverse!) I've mainly done clerical jobs, administration, once used to work in a clothes shop which I loved, did that for 4 years, then had a lot of problems with son and my boss basically informed me that my family didn't matter - only hers did! And the money was carp as well. Maybe I should post a want ad - 'Will consider anything!' L

Hi everyone Thanks for your thoughts - much appreciated I feel so upset though - I know its pathetic, I have really tried hard since I joined this company but it seems like such a waste of time. I'm supposed to deal with goods in - except we don't get any goods coming in! Someone (probably one of the click) decided it was better to get everything sent direct to site, so all I'm doing is chasing about one Proof of delivery a day - takes loads of time that does (not!). My boss is about as ineffectual as a chocolate fireguard - makes all the right noises but doesn't actually do anything, so no point in going to her. L

Aw Lisa sorry you're having a crap time, come and work with me! We can sit and chat all day and I'll include you with all the other staff (there's only me lol) but you will have to put up with the boss and his dirty jokes!!! Julie xxx

Not a nice feeling - had that when I was a dinner lady for heaven's sake, think they were jealous cos I was the new 'girl' and they had all been there ages, and the little shy kids all came to me- had lots of nice things said about me from parents too. Was very glad to leave I can tell you - funny thing afterwards if I saw the snottiest one out she would always come and talk to me. Sounds as if you got your ciggie money in the end - hope so anyway. I found a site last night looking for something else where you can type in the area you want and look at the jobs advertised and you can also advertise yourself for work wanted. Might find a new direction, you sound adaptable. Will try and find the name again, I wrote it down and gave to my son who is job hunting. Liz website is gumtree*com
