Not too sure about prices, but we've swapped from Powergen - awful service. We ended up having £700 taken out of our account without our permission, due to a mistake in their meter reading service. We have spent hours on the phone, and no one is at all bothered. We've had the complete range of responses, from total apathy, to abuse. Sharon xx

I've just switched from Scottish power, courtesy of S*insbury energy, not only am I saving a bit but they also sent me a pair of those cute little animations from the ad!!

Thanks Anna - will try that - just got a letter today from Scottsh Power saying their prices are just about to go up ...... and I am on Economy 7 with low daytime usage so is worth looking I'm sure :O))

Have you tried the Uswitch website too? Might give you a different answer, can't think that BG is cheaper than anyone!

I would swap......... at least you have a choice :(( We only have the ONE electric supplier here in Northern Ireland.......... NIE ( Northern Ireland Electical ....lol)

bg are crap and i'm leaving as soon as i sort out another supplier. and they hassle you with loads of sales calls - i've had up to 8 a week trying to get me to sign up for various services Angela

..... according to the suppliers comparision on Money Supermarket - I can save just over £68 a year based on my current electric usage, by swapping from Scottish Power to British Gas ........... what do you reckon - worth trying ????
