Hubby has been looking on in amusement because I hold the cotton quite near the top and then drop the eye of the needle onto it. Thought that was normal but apparently not. |

LOL - I hold the needle upright, just dampen the end of the thread - then pass thru the eye .................... |

Selina, fancy seeing you here LOL. OK I hold the thread in my left hand so that just a half inch of it is showing and then I put the needle to it. Hubby says I should hold the needle and put the thread to it. |

That's the right saying - and yes, he is. When we first met he removed the sellotape I was using to hold the handle of the vacuum cleaner together and actually used some nuts and bolts. |

They're great aren't they. Whatever I break he manages to fix it. Just wondered there, what sort of impression am I making to you? Can't cook, can't sew,.......... I have learnt how to do a bit of woodwork though, and plaster walls |

I removed a fireplace a few months ago and the wall was an absolute mess. Managed to fill the major holes with some rough plaster and skimmed a couple of thin layers on afterwards. Looks quite good if I do say so myself, though I may not have used the correct tools but who cares. |

Thinking about it, I think I do it yoyr way Trish. I do not understand however why there should have to be a right and a wrong way. If it does the job, who cares? Liz |

Very true Liz, glad I'm not the only one. Not too sure if I'm right or left handed so that may have something to do with it. |
