Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 18 Apr 2006 21:58

I wore an old cross and chain on Sunday, cross is gold and I thought the chain was too. No problems until late that night when my neck felt a bit itchy. I now have a complete ring round my neck, where the chain lay, that is covered in horrid red blotchy spots and they ARE ITCHING LIKE CRAZY aaaarrrrgggghhhh !!!! I've tried Savlon and Eurax and it just doesn't seem to get better - I need some of those scratch mitts that the babies wear! Maz. XX

Hi Maz I had this problem - and at night in bed it was unbearable - itch itch all flippin night!! In desperation I put one of those lovely baby wet wipes on it and went to sleep with it on - next morning-absolutely no sign of a rash! Brilliant! Also worked on prickly heat when abroad - oh and for those 'ladies tropical moments' too!!! Lucy x

thank you ladies for the suggestions - haven't got any of them in the house though!! the only thing I HAVE got is baby wipes and I'm scared to put that on in case it makes it worse! I think I will try some more eurax before bed. If anyone saw Doctor Who on Saturday and saw the 'humans' with their diseases ..... well that's what this rash is like eurghhhh!!! Maz. XX

Maz - have you any anti-histamine tablets ????

Lucy

Lucy Report 18 Apr 2006 22:23

Maz, I only tried baby wipes cos I did'nt have anything else in at the time - I figured that if they're gentle enough for a baby's skin that may be a bit rashy, then they probably would be gentle enough for my neck. And I'm glad I did - they're my 'wonder - cure- all' now!!! Lucy x
