There's always someone who talks to themselves. If there isn't I feel obliged to take up the post. |

The little slidy bit was stiff, so I kindof yanked it, and the whole panel came off! I tried pushing it back in, but I had bent the little metal bit which pushes the glass up. After about 15 minutes of panicking thinking they'd make me pay for it, I fixed it! *phew* |

You don't say if the day was worthwhile. I went to Suffolk CRO whilst on hols last year and didn't get anywhere with my lot LOL |

Paul, were the staff helpful or did they train at 'The dragon school'? I have to go to Norfolk & Suffolk record office, can't decide which one to do first! |

Forgot to mention staff at Suffolk CRO were wonderful and very helpful. Have also been to Devon CRO and they are good there too. |

Yes they were helpful, I didn't know where or what I was looking for, because I hadn't been before. Their system is EXTREMELY easy to work out. (Needs to be for me) The only thing I didn't understand was their system for quarter sessions, I asked, but still didnt have a clue! |

Oh good, its quite scary if you haven'y been before. I have been to the Heritage Centre in the Forum in Norwich, which has some excellent info, the staff there are very helpful. |

I hope when I do look at the quarter sessions that there is something about the person I'm looking for, because I have someone who was born illegit, and it was in that short time between bastady cases and civil registration.
But I do have his fathers name of his marriage certificate, which is a bonus. |
