Average Debt?

I have just read an article that states the average debt (excluding motgage)for East Anglia is £27'000. As I am no where near that I am off to do some internet shopping.

Our mortgage is our only debt, but it IS more than £27,000.

Who is this Mr Average ?? Ive scoured the censuses and Electy. Regs and cant find him ?? and thats rather strange cos I think that the Average Family is extensive ! maybe its the spelling ??

Ang... i could be wrong... but i always thought that the 'average debt' did not include mortgage payments. That IS scary .. Sue x

£35,000 debt for protection of my children,solicitors,courts,private detectives,personal research,etc etc and i don`t regrett a penny derek but to my children i hope i`m more than mr average
