Hi Susie, Your Mum will so glad you are there even if she's not very responsive. My Dad had a couple of strokes in his early 80's and recovered from both. His personanlity changed for a while after the second but after a couple of months he was his old cheerful self. Best wishes to you all Linda |

Used to look after people who had, had strokes, she will feel like shes just done ten rounds in a boxing ring, also will probably get very frustrated as she wakes up.You are the one who has to stay strong even though you don't feel like it. Just stay positive [easy for me to say I know], thinking of you. |

when i visited mum on saturday she was sleeping. she didnt know we were there.yesterday she was sort of awake but kept nodding off. her speech has improved a little but there is still no movement down her left side.as she cant swallow she is being fed yoghurts as they are thicker than fluids. she knew who we were which made me happy. she doesnt smile though, just yes and no answers, even though we tried to cheer her up. today she having a brain scan so we will know more this afternoon. it is so hard,i keep fighting the tears. love susie |
