Haven't noticed any great bargains so far but will keep watching - I'm in there every day as it's only a 2 minute walk from my house. |

Our kwiksave changed into a Somerfield a few months back, and no we no 'special offers', and I would say it is a lot dearer than it was before. Gloria :-((((( |

our kwik Save is the opposite they have been bought out by some company or other and they are refusing to send new stock until all the old has gone so we have a shop with half empty shelves and things like washing up liquid with father xmas on they are losing loads of customers people are going to Asda or Tesco which are just round the corner Im a Netto and Farmfoods girl myself happy bargain hunting tho |

Hello Catherine I dont think Somerfield is as cheap as Asda, I only go in there for bits of milk and bread and things if I cant get to Asda. Some of the smaller stores are closing down so they need to get rid of the stock. My friend lives round corner from there so she rings me when they are putting new stuff out. If anyones stores near them are doing the same it is well worth a look. I added up just the xmas things I bought from there, they cost me £3 and should have cost over £40!! We dont have any of the electrical things really, just a few radios. x karen |

Sounds good Karen. Our nearest Somerfield closed and Waitrose moved in.... not many bargains THERE very often. |

An Uncle went into a Kwiksave store and picked up an advertised money saving deal. only to be told at check out that the store had changed hands, and they weren't doing the offers, so he refused to buy those goods. |

Hello Gwyneth I usually only go in for a few bits like bread/milk etc. I dont think ive ever spent as much money in there as I have these past 2 weeks! It finishes on Saturday and everything has to be gone so the prices should be even better. Im pretty sure the store wont get half as many customers when the sales finished! x karen |
