Second email today, with a link to ancestry that gives a bit more information: '1841 England and Wales Census Coming in April Ancestry.com has nearly completed the 1841 England and Wales Census, which includes an every-name index and images, and is expected to be posted in mid to late April. This release will complete the England and Wales Census Collection, which already includes each census from 1851 through 1901, giving World Deluxe and UK Deluxe members access to seven decades of census information.' It's on its way ............ Steven. |

Unfortunately the email itself doesn't give any more details. There is a link to an article on their site but the link isn't working. It is the American site that sends the daily emails, but hopefully it will go live on both sites. I can access UK records and images by logging in to either the American or UK site anyway so I assume this would remain the same for the 1841 records too. I'm hoping all counties will go live together, but I'm as much in the dark as everyone else - as I say the email doesn't give anymore details. I know a few people have replied 'yes' to previous emails from ancestry asking if we want to be informed when the 1841 goes live, so hopefully a more informative email will be sent out soon. Steven. |

It is great news isn't it. I’m digging through my records at the moment in preparation. I should be able to tie up a few loose ends. I have to admit I rarely read the daily ancestry emails in detail, and nearly missed it. Can't wait!! Steven. |
