I have 2 good friends (one was at the manchester meet yesterday) they buy me for birthdays, but even more so the strangest presents ever for Christmas. This christmas gone I got mens aftershave. You know HELLO!! I have had all sorts of weird and wonderful ornaments over the years, even though they know I don't do ornaments. Just wondered what everyone else's might be. Catherine x |

actually, it was my husband. Years ago, I had had an operation and back home and bored I decided to wash the kitchen floor. My aunt called in and asked if she could help. Jokingly, I said she could finish the floor. She looked shocked but said nothing( I hate people who offer help but don't mean it). Two days later, it was my husband's birthday. Guess wht Auntie gave him? A floor mop! I'm just glad my stitches had healed by then, his face was a picture. |

Rosi, I think kids buy presents for parents that they would like themselves. when I was little, I bought my Dad a lovely pink address and notebook. |

When we had just bought our first small house, we had to install a bathroom, my Mum bought us the toilet for Christmmas. She was generous to a fault during her life, but always had practicality in mind! Bless her. |

At primary school we were all taught how to knit. I knitted - from the scraps pile of leftovre wool - a tie for my Dad. For Father's day. It was about 2 feet long, multicoloured and very full of holes. My brother salvaged it, folded it in half, sewed it up the sides and turned it into a pencil case - without a zip along the top! Ho Hum! William |
