Just received email from a Mrs **** **** from Kuwait stating that she was married to a doctor ****** ****** for 11 years until his death. They were childless and very religious. When he died her husband left $8.6 million in a European bank, which she now wishes to be distrbuted to children suffering from HIV. She wants someone God fearing and devout to take on this task and is waiting for a response to her email. Presently she is in hospital herself suffering from cancer and is unable to speak. Thats about the gist of the email.......very strange, few spelling mistakes. It has to be a wind up or some kind or scam obviously..........has anyone else received anything similar recently? I'd be interested to know. Lin xx |

Its another version of the scam email that goes around. They hope you get taken in & give them your Bank details with the promise of a commission for your help. YEH RIGHT they raid your bank account instead. Have seen sometimes where they want your C/Card details and the next thing is your landed with large debits which the card people wont reimburse you for without a fight as you authorised amy transaction by passing on your card nos. DELETE any of these unsolicited emails & never EVER click onto any web address within an email. |

Thanks for explaining Shirley, I will be wary in future, would never dream of giving card details to anyone this way regardless. Not that they would plunder much from me.......don't live on credit! Lin xx |

I was getting a variation on these - Youve won the Lottery, an american who travelled widely has left you in his will, Phillipes Widow, Nigerian widow, Japanese business offer - on and on. Have you put your email address on a site recently? The other ones Im getting up to a dozen a day - buy medicines on the net - and the lovely 'We cure any desease (sic)' I think most of mine come through ebay. I am blocking them one at a time and hopefully will be rid of them at some point. How these people sleep, I just dont know. |

Have you signed up to any sites recently? Some pass your details on to interested third parties - and what those third parties do with your details is anyone's guess. Another way people get hold of your email is through forwarding emails with everyone's address visible in the 'To' field. |
