Yes Gloria, they are all from this site. There was a really wonderfully brave woman on this site. Her name was Gaynor, she was only 51 when she died of a brain tumour. She was an inspiration until the minute she died. These lovely people had all met and loved Gaynor. Diana (Pink) started up a charity for Cancer research, and all of them are doing this walk to raise money. Diana did the Great wall of China, and they have all done different bits to raise more money. They are better people that I. God bless em. Deanna X

Yes, its a bunch of fab people from GR who are doing this to raise money for cancer research in memory of Gaynor Fear, a much-loved member of GR who sadly died of this beastly disease last year. Those of us - myself included - who had the privilege of meeting Gaynor or reading her threads - will know that she was a remarkable, courageous and mad woman with a wicked sense of humour. Two of the Trekkers are Gaynor's family members. All the threads about the Pink fund or Gaynor Bear or the Sahara trek are to do with Gaynor Fear. nell

Thank you. I have seen some of the threads about Gaynor and the pink cancer charity but never having known Gaynor I haave tended not to read them. Felt like I was intruding on a private friendship. 51 is no age to die. My father was 47 when he died of leukemia. Seems strange as that is the age that I remember him as and I will be that age very soon. It kinda gets you wondering what ever is next. I had a brother die from a heart attack age just 37 so I have outlived him and appreciate the extra years I have had expecially now that I have 3 grand children Live can be such a precious thing but can also be snatched away so suddenly Good luck to all the Trekkers

Hi Gloria, I am not sure where you live, but if you are anywhere in Wales, The Lake District or Scotland and would like to help out in the Gaynor Bear Relay you would be most welcome. Jenny.
