What is the bid amount up to so far , if you don't mind me asking?! I have put in max bids before and they have not reached even half the amount I put in. Also, sold stuff on eBay and you do not know the amount Buyer has put in as Max amount or people would be getting mates to bid against you to get max benefit. If you have more than 12 hours you should be OK and no-one can force you to pay anyway! An understanding seller would understand and the most you may get is neutral or negative feedback should you not manage to retract and things get out of hand!! Good luck with it all! Helen x |

You go into services and there should be a link which enables you to retract your bid. But it has to be done within an hour of placing it. If you do end up paying too much if you can't cancel you can always try to appeal to the sellers better nature. That worked for me. Good luck |

You are allowed to cancel your bid if you made an error when you entered your bid amount, you click on bid history then click 'cancel bid'.....you only have a cetain amount of time to do it in though ( I think ) |

Will only go up to that amount if someone bids against you up to that amount - the seller does not even know your max bid. Helen |
